This is a website designed to support students of Mr. LaPerriere. You will find resources that will help you better understand the material covered in class. There is a section that has copies of class notes, links to helpful videos and support materials as well as a list of upcoming important due dates.
Class Expectations
Each student has the responsibility to:
1. Comply with each and every policy in the student handbook. PLEASE carefully review the section on make-up work ** Be prepared to take any missed test/quiz the day you return to class and pass in any due materials ie lab reports.
2. Be prepared with required materials:
4. Do the homework assigned. (Expect some form of homework every night.)
6. Follow Classroom Expectations: All aspects of the student handbook will be followed and enforced.
a. Be respectful of yourself and others
You will sign a safety form that explains all the rules. Violation to the safety code could result in permanent removal and zeros on the lab. Absolutely no ear buds can be worn at any time during lab time.
c. Be prepared
· Upon entering the classroom go to your seat and work on the question of the day
· Homework from the night before should be completed and in front of you
· Expect quizzes (I do not have to announce a quiz) but I usually do.
7. Grading Policy:
Your grade will be calculated by using the total point method. Tests are worth 100 points. Labs and activities can range in value from 10 to 100 points. Quizzes differ from 10 to 50 points. Each homework assignment will be worth a possible 5 points. Questions of the day are worth .5 pts. The sum of the total points earned will be divided by the sum of the total points possible and then multiplied by 100 to convert into a percent. Your overall grade is a weighted average, 40% for each term grade & 10% for the mid-semester & final exams.

- HOMEWORK IS due at the beginning of class ( if may be collected or just checked off )
- When you are absent get the missed assignments from a classmate or me. This will keep you from falling behind. You may e-mail me and I will send it as an attachment if possible. There will be a makeup work folder in ASPEN as well as on my desk. MAKE UP WORK IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
6. Follow Classroom Expectations: All aspects of the student handbook will be followed and enforced.
a. Be respectful of yourself and others
- Everyone will raise his/her hand to speak and wait to be called upon.
- Students are expected to be actively engaged in the class (sleeping or other disruptive behavior will result in a teacher detention)
- Electronic devices will be put away and not visible UNLESS cleared by me first. No mysterious wires hanging from ears allowed. Failure to do so will lead to forfeiture of the device to the office.
